dc.description.abstractAn an attempt to substantiate and formulate the main provisions of combined physical discipline – Mechanothermodynamics. Earlier its principles have been based on the concept of entropy [1]. It is shown that Mechanothermodynamics has combined two sections of Physics – Mechanics and Thermodynamics in order not to compete with each other, as it has been traditionally, but in order to take a fresh look at the evolution of complex systems. Based on the analysis of more than 600 experimental results, the fundamental mech-anothermodynamical function of limiting (critical by damage) states of metal and polymer materials was determined.ru
